For a quarter of a century, the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music has been a cornerstone of Scotland’s cultural landscape. Based in the picturesque Highland village of Plockton, this unique institution has nurtured some of the country’s most talented young musicians, preserving and promoting the rich heritage of traditional music while fostering innovation and creativity.
On Thursday 19th June, at Eden Court in Inverness, we invite you to join us in celebrating 25 remarkable years of music, mentorship, and community. Through an evening of vibrant performances from current students, esteemed alumni, and special guests, we pay tribute to the artistry, dedication, and resilience that have defined the Centre since its founding.
From Gaelic & Scots songs to toe-tapping reels, the program will showcase the diverse traditions and contemporary interpretations that make Scottish music so extraordinary. Whether you are a long-time supporter or new to the world of traditional music, we hope you will be inspired by the talent and passion on display on the night.
Here’s to the next 25 years of excellence and tradition at Sgoil Chiùil Na Gàidhealtachd!
